Otonomi is a pioneering AI-based InsurTech company founded in 2020, revolutionizing the insurance industry through innovative parametric insurance solutions. We specialize in marine and cargo insurance, including air freight delay insurance.
We are looking for an operations manager to help scale our revolutionary parametric insurance platform.

What you’ll do:
-> Manage and optimize trading operations processes, specifically within the transaction lifecycle.
-> Monitor and proactively resolve operational issues related to trading activities, ensuring smooth and efficient execution.
-> Collaborate with trading, technology, and compliance teams to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate risks.
-> Contribute to the development and implementation of new operational procedures and systems.
-> Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Your Key Responsibilities:
-> Oversee the end-to-end transaction lifecycle, from trade capture to settlement.
-> Identify and resolve trade breaks, reconciliation issues, and other operational discrepancies.
-> Implement and monitor operational controls to minimize risk.
-> Develop and maintain clear documentation for operational procedures.
-> Work closely with developers and product managers to improve automated operational tools.
-> Analyze operational data to identify trends and areas for process improvement.
-> Stay current with industry best practices and regulatory changes affecting trading operations.

Qualifications:
-> Experience: 3-10 years of progressive experience in Wall Street middle office or trading support roles.
-> Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of freight or insurance or financial transaction life cycles.
-> Operational Proficiency: Proven track record in monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving operational issues in a fast-paced trading environment.
-> Technical Skills: Familiarity with trading systems, order management systems (OMS), execution management systems (EMS), and reconciliation tools.

-> Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, or even basic scripting for automation) is a plus.
-> Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
-> Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
-> Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic, technology-driven environment (startup experience is a plus).
-> Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
